Planting winter #canola soon? Most areas should seed between Aug 25 and Sept 5. Look back 2 YEARS in your herbicide history, bean herbicides like Pursuit and Sencor have a 2 yr restriction to canola. Reach out if you have questions

Corn is off and the plots are still green (or at lest half of them). Woody Van Arkel🧢 🇨🇦🌽🐖🚲🌞🍺 convinced me to take on the challenge of replicating his subclover living mulch system and so far, so good. Living mulch corn yielded 273 bu/ac vs 257 for the control.

Nice article discussing the challenges of bringing #wintercanola to the Prairies. Certainly it's a long term goal but I think there are ways to make it happen. Hybrids are a big part of the story but there are other tools that can help. producer.com/crops/winter-c…
