Brutal waking up in the middle of the night to an emergency alert but so grateful right now that we are on a well and that I decided against taking my girl for a run in Oakfield Park where she 100% would have gotten in the water. 🥺

My girl is almost 12 1/2. We had our annual vet visit today and I was told she had a perfect body score and didn’t “act her age”. 😍 I credit a lot of that to our 11 years of running together. Hoping we have a few more still to go!

I went to the drive-thru Covid test Site at the Dartmouth General yesterday. What a slick operation. Less than 5 minutes from pulling in to the lot and exiting. Results in 16 hours. Well done Nova Scotia Health 👏

How our day started and how it’s going. This is why we dogrun. 😍

Took my first flight in 16 months today. Kinda liked the dead airport, helped the Covid time flying anxiety for sure. So happy to see my family after 9 long months. ❤️

It’s amazing how much a kid that isn’t yours can be so much like you. You’d never know it had been 9 months since our last hang. Haven’t missed a step. 😍

Because when you’re in a family full of athletes, you hammer out a 2k before Zoom school with your sister and your Auntie Mo. 💪

Busy, busy day. First up: day 3 of self-isolation Covid test (Dartmouth drive-thru for the win!), then first day at new job, suffered through brutal heat in 3rd floor home office, then an evening cool down swim with my girl. Not bad at all.

I don’t know why the humans aren’t at their desks on a Thursday but I’m some happy about it!

My 2nd shot was not as symptomless as the 1st but I am feeling better today and am full of gratitude for both. Rocking the “I got my Covid shot” mask by maritimetartancompany thanks to @christianflee 😍

So happy to be able to have friends over again. Needed some reinforcements close by in case the girl swamped my board but we (barely!) stayed upright!! 😍

I have less free time lately so am making sure I enjoy it as much as I can. Hanging with this girl in the early evening sun is one of my faves. 😍

Beyond amazing cake pop display from @NSFrosting for a birthday boy who loves the outdoors and likes to consider himself an adopted Labradorian. Norma was given zero theme direction and knocked it out of the park as always.
