Even with this CHAMPION trial - a focus on binary recurrence misses the observation that the AF burden (time spent in AF) was exceedingly low following intervention, and QOL was effectively normalised. Meaning patients had significant benefit from the treatment.

Nice to see it "proven" but did anyone really think asymptomatic AF was different n terms of these outcomes? Difficulties when discussing with patients is the lack of good trial evidence to show that we can make a difference
