Great to meet with James Lawless TD and others to discuss the work of the Co-Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water across the islands of Ireland and Great Britain.

This last week we’ve had over 130 first year Environmental Biology Students out and about surveying freshwaters, sand dunes and woodlands on the slopes of Steve Donard for our residential field course. As an ecologist it’s the highlight of our academic year!

Today members of our leadership & operations team met with Climate+ researchers and staff at UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology! Yvonne Buckley and Mark Emmerson gave updates from our 1st year, and we heard about the fantastic research underway. Thanks for the warm welcome & the tour!

Big thanks to Deputy Director Ed Hawkins and the Uni of Reading team for hosting us yesterday. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and hear about the exciting Climate+ research in progress!

We were delighted to host a networking event ahead of the British-Irish Council Environment Ministerial in Kew Gardens this week alongside Co-Centre for Sustainable Food Systems and Co-Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water. A great opportunity to discover how research will support vital environmental policy collaboration.

Day 5 #DromoreBookFestival update. A powerful finish to the adult fiction section of the festival, with acclaimed authors Caoilinn Hughes, Sarah Gilmartin and Garrett Carr giving us valuable insights into the craft of writing. Thanks to Mike Philpott for being an amazing host!
