NEW PAPERS!: Today our TWO review articles on the biodiversity of Madagascar were published in Science Magazine. This project included 84 co-authors and 50 institutions, born from an Antonelli Lab group meeting in 2020. Kew Science, Kew Madagascar & Gothenburg Global Biodiversity Centre led the papers.

Thrilled to announce my latest publication #JFB: The environmental impact of keeping a tropical aquarium in Northern Europe! This side project, on a topic dear to my heart, outlines for the 1st time the energy & water demands of tropical fish keeping rb.gy/qw2zo 🧵👇

Thrilled that our recent paper on #eDNA in rivers is now out in Nature Communications! bit.ly/3x1kQZq With data from 5 rivers (Europe & US), and a year time series, we measured #biodiversity patterns across a range of taxa, demonstrating the powerful insights eDNA can yield 🧵👇

New paper led by the wonderful Rachel Williams in Water Research: bit.ly/45tpewZ! For me, the most interesting finding was that RNA degradation over time for many of the viruses was non-linear & differed between genes. 4°C storage also came out on top for raw wastewater!🧬
