Tonight, Congress will vote to lower the age to prosecute minors as adults from 16 down to 14 in DC. Let me get this straight: Congress wants to prosecute 14 yr. olds as adults, but they don’t want to prosecute adults who sexually abuse 14 year olds? Release the Epstein files.

Irish friends, Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh! In this dark time, it does my heart good to remember the light that shines from the Emerald Isle, a beacon of resilience, independence and justice. May Ireland always stand for truth and win triple crowns galore 😘🇮🇪😘

I'm at the Window of Defenestration, an unassuming room of singular historical importance as it is here, in 1618, where one act of defenestration (being thrown out of a window) was the catalyst for the Thirty Years War, one of the most destructive conflicts in European history

Love Dune 84, but the characters seem unbelievable. A diseased orange pedophile who wants to drag everyone into a catastrophic war for his own selfish ends? Pull the other one!

Dune (1984) gets written off, even by Lynch, but the film’s worldbuilding is doing its own thing. Baroque sets, strange textures, and a future that feels alien in a way few sci-fi films even attempt. It’s rough, but there’s nothing else like it.

Nick Timothy MP Muslims make up just 6% of the population of Britain. Conspiracy theories currently being aired by right wing bigots that they are secretly plotting the Islamic domination of Britain are the 21st century Islamophobes' equivalent of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and just

While reading an article about fathers and sons having their first drink together, I remembered the time I took my daughter out for her first drink. We went to a bar just two blocks from the house. I got her a Sam Adams. She didn’t like it. so I drank it. Then I got her a

This scene in Miami Vice where "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins plays stands as one of TV's all time greatest cinematic sequences. It effortlessly establishes the mood and highlights just how far today's television industry has fallen. This authentic soul is gone.

The language from Katz and Netanyahu here provides a cynical rationale for never-ending attacks. The destruction of “frontline villages,” if accomplished, creates new “frontlines” to attack.

Miller’s Crossing (1990) is a straight-up masterpiece that somehow never gets mentioned enough. The Coens turn a gangster story into a chess match of loyalty, betrayal, and quiet menace, with Gabriel Byrne playing one of their sharpest, most tragic leads.
