Pretty sure neither of these Veeam PowerShell cmdlets have ever existed, ChatGPT just completely making things up. Wish they would turn down the "fake it till you make it" dial :/

I'm wondering what everyone thinks about ransomware recovery - DR vs restoring from backup. Is your plan fire up the DR site (assuming it is ok), or restore from backup (assuming backups are ok)? Or rebuild and data-only restore? (Yes I'm glossing over the whole IR process)

Another episode of adventures on the Cisco website. Exhibit 1: you can't change your email address, make a new account. Exhibit 2: nice new account you've got there, be a shame if we immediately suspended it.

C# default DateTime JSON serialization outputs microseconds using 7 digits. Python's %f microsecond parser only accepts up to 6 digits, so it throws an exception. It really is a miracle that anything at all works.

Every so often I come across some cloud pricing oddity that makes me do a double take. Like this one from Azure, where enabling SFTP on an object storage container has a cost of $0.30 per hour. That's over $200 per month if you leave it on, just to be able to use SFTP πŸ‘€

It has taken me 3 hours work out that Kestrel won't respond to an "Expect: 100-Continue" unless you try to read the body, in which case it responds automagically. ChatGippity played its part by telling me I needed to handle it manually. Go to hell ChatGippity.
