Another good run out for the Girls U16 squad, as we hosted Wellington this afternoon. Eight regular squad members, plus two debutants from other year groups, made for a feast of fast-paced, action-packed squash.

Good to see VSC, Calli S, in action over the weekend, playing #1 for the Wiltshire seniors at the inter-counties comp. Wiltshire were drawn in the same pool as Surrey, Oxfordshire and South Wales.

Good performances from all the Girls U16 squad, resulting in a win and a loss, sees them finish in 2nd spot in their final 16 stage 2 Nationals Championship matches. Well done to Kenilworth School for progressing to the Nationals Final Day, & thank you to Wycliffe for hosting.

Good work from the U18 boys this afternoon, as they top their Nationals Stage 2 group in the plate competition with two solid wins. Many thanks to Bryanston for hosting us all, and to Bryanston and Exeter School for a couple of great contests.

Encouraging performances and a valuable win for the squad in their Wiltshire Div 1 league fixture yesterday evening 👏🏼 - and now for some good rest and recovery over half-term 👍🏼

Congratulations to the Girls U16 squad who have qualified for the England Squash National Schools Championship Finals. This is the 2nd time in 5 years that a girls team has made the final 8, the last being the U18s in 2022👇🏼. The Boys U18s are into the Plate Final - draws below.

Non-stop action at this afternoon’s Radley/Wellington/Marlborough Triangular, and an encouraging performance from the boys squads as they manage to regain the highly prized trophy 😊🏆👍🏼

A 1-4 vs Sevenoaks, followed by a 2-3 vs Downe House and finally a 3-2 vs Wycombe Abbey, concludes a fantastic day for the U16 Girls and secures them a 7th place finish nationally. Great fun and excellent levels of effort and sportsmanship from the squad throughout the day 👍🏼👌🏼💪🏼

Winding up the forehand and a textbook backhand, some of the action from today’s U18 National Schools Plate Final. Another great day, with excellent matches vs King’s College Taunton (0-5), Berkhamsted (2-3) and Bradfield (5-0). Also good to see a 🇿🇼 junior at #1 for Wycliffe👇🏼.

Two current pupils, a recent OM Leaver, a student from St John’s and a youngster at heart… a good mix of four juniors and one former junior 😊 in last night’s Wilts Div 1 league match, with some excellent performances from all the squad resulting in a 4-1 win 👏🏼👌🏼💪🏼

No fewer than 6 from Wiltshire in this year’s Masters British Open, along with 14 nations represented, and good to be playing alongside the youngsters in the PSA British Open.

Another great evening of League squash, with some quality performances from all the pupils… And always good to finish the evening with some doubles 😊

It was great to get the 25/26 season underway this afternoon with the Winchester/Cheltenham/Marlborough Triangular. It will take a few weeks for the squads to hit form, but good to dust off the summer cobwebs with some highly competitive matches. Well played all… 👏🏼

A busy Thursday for the boys squads, with the U16s and U18s AWAY vs Abingdon this afternoon, and the League team at HOME vs Trowbridge this evening. A rest week for the girls, but back to work on Tuesday vs Bradfield 😊👍🏼✅
