This year the #ESPKU2024 Sheila Jones Award was give to 2 remarkable people: Caroline Graham and Kate Learoyd. They have done so much to help people with PKU in the UK -we can never thank them enough

Seeing Gary all over my timeline the last week or 2 has massively helped my mental health Seeing someone with a platform fight the battle I’ve been screaming about since I was a kid is easing Seeing someone who escaped and had come back to help is inspiring

He nails it. He encapsulates the mood of millions of people in the UK. 🎯 “We end up with economically illiterate people in the government. There are not fit for office. This is our money. I’m sick of being asked to pay more and more for less and less.” We are being fleeced.

Can anyone explain this to me? If we introduced a 2% wealth tax on anyone with over £10 million in assets, we’d raise around £24 billion a year. That’s from just 20,000 people - 0.04% of the population. A tiny fraction of the country. And yet we’re told it would somehow

Super interesting. Norway has 17 billionaires. The UK has a population 12X larger and yet it has...55 billionaires. Yet Norway has a higher rate of tax and has a wealth tax. Its higher rate of capital gains tax is also much higher (its equalised with dividends). 1/2

#pku foraging (again) This time I was lucky enough to stumble across chicken of the woods (mushroom). 🍀 The batter made up from Chef Neil’s VitafriendsPKU recipe (for the nuggets and onion rings).
