Favorite line: "our democracy is not going to be revived by communities of the like-minded working in opposing silos to vanquish each other"

Are you tired of watching your fellow Americans fight like cats and dogs? It's time to rethink where your political donations are going. Instead of funding more divisiveness, consider supporting nonpartisan organizations dedicated to healing America. thefulcrum.us/civic-engageme…

Sarah Cooper returns with "How to Boat." He’s always given her a wealth of material to work with, but Trump’s bit about the shark/electric boat was probably just too hard for her to resist so she took his insanity and turned it into comedy gold...

Would be interesting to have a focus group of "undecided voters" go through a print out of the debate, assisted by fact checkers, and see what they think. I know we don't, but shouldn't we focus more on the substance of ideas?

I describe my work as designing processes focused on avoiding triggering the worst in human nature and tapping into the best. Sadly, people make alot more money doing the opposite. "Goading people into participating as the worst version of themselves" is a nice way to phrase it

One the best parts of my job is to see former students go out into the world and do good work! Congrats Willow (and congrats to the DCI for hiring her).

“I believe polarization is the No. 1 issue, because when we’re polarized like we are, we’re unable to address the problems at hand.” “The good news? We’re not nearly as polarized as we think, a lot of it’s manufactured, a lot of it’s fake.” - Dr. Martín Carcasson

Really enjoyed my conversation on Michael's podcast. It focused on something I've been developing for awhile, important both to college campuses and our communities: making some distinctions between the terms debate, dialogue, & deliberation buzzsprout.com/2311101/episod…
