August 19th, 1863 Rumors swirl and trust deteriorates. The halt of the @mbta #orangeline looms ominously; #mbta leadership has fled the city on Ironclad ferries. I fear it is only a matter of time before the waterways will also soon be impassable.

August 24th, 1863 Father, Our daring campaign commences, and with it, setbacks. As the @mbta begins to repair the #orangeline, our crews have been outfitted with subpar tools. Derailments have already reared their ugly head. The 19th of September would appear a grand illusion.

September 14th 1863 Mother, Our #Orangeline work continues until the early dawn hours. We have received word that our @mbta #Greenline compatriots have suffered setbacks, but we persevere. We have been gifted an extra coffee & hardtack ration. I pray this was not in vain.
