Special thank you to Elliott Perks, violist of the Maxwell Quartet, for joining us tonight as our Guest Lecturer on the Ravel String Quartet. He shared many beautiful old recordings, with fresh insights into Ravel's musical voice & process. #VQDiscovery
Maxwell Quartet were such a tonic tonight. Intelligent and clever programme; such beauty in the music - the Gaelic Psalms and the reels were SUCH a treat, and the (new to me) Finnis - and their crisp delivery were a privilege to witness. They clearly LOVE their work. Thank you.
