I have a terrific and brief (8 minute) interview with the producer of this show on Parliamentary vs. Presidential democracy. It was a great conversation. Please listen in!

I had a great time yesterday evening presenting at the University of Maryland College Park, where my son Eric is a senior. The attendees were terrific and asked lots of insightful questions. I even got a picture with the upcoming graduation speaker! MLAW Programs

Didn't think I'd be reposting Elon Musk, but here it is. Even an evil jerk gets some things right, and the kindest people get some things wrong. It's really important to focus on that. Always aligning with one side or another no matter what is the enemy of democracy and freedom.

Any economists know of a good, preferably comprehensible for non-economists, piece on whether stock market circuit breakers do any good? My hunch is that they don't, or at least I can't think of a reason why they would. But I'd like to get sense of the literature on this.
