I don’t get angry over losses very often. Sad, sure. Angry, no. I’m FURIOUS. And it’s because every single Yankees fan spent ALL WEEK knowing exactly what it would look like if they lost. Baseball is not supposed to be a sport where you outhit your own self-inflicted mistakes.

At a certain point you have to drop the "we're good, we'll be fine" tagline. I do believe it is genuinely how Jazz, Boone, etc carry themselves- I don't think it's them putting on a front. But man, at a certain point, you gotta give credence to what the fans see with their eyes.

Spent every waking second today looking forward to a baseball game, only for my team to lose in the EXACT FASHION that every single fan feared they would- and frankly, deep down, kinda knew they would.

I can promise you guys this: Anything I ever have to say about the Yankees will be my true, genuine thoughts. Sometimes it's more timid than most fans, sometimes it isn't. But there's no ulterior motive. If you didn't feel broken by watching tonight, I don't know what to tell ya.

Can't remember a Yankees team that, simply put, has struggled this much against good teams. Even in rough times, they can usually hold their own. 5-16 against Sox, Jays, Tigers, Astros. They've gotten thoroughly outplayed by BOS/TOR especially. Can't chalk it up to dumb luck.
