This right here if you want a meaningful statement from a San Diego elected about yesterday instead of the PR dribble that most others put out.

Racism is indeed a health crisis, an economic crisis and a crisis of conscience. Glad to see Supervisor Nathan Fletcher and Supv. @NoraVargasSD take a leadership role for our region and looking forward to partnering with them to tackle the impacts racism has had on BIPOC ppl.

We will only achieve equity and safety by owning our history, naming our problems, and addressing them head on. The nationwide surge in AAPI hate is racism that we must shine a light on for us to collectively cast out. 1/2

Thank you SDPD & community partners for your service to creating safer communities. We also made more investments than ever in youth programs & alt methods, & I’m proud to have led those efforts. Our advocacy paid off. Safer cities come w/ building a public safety ecosystem.

I will continue to fight for my community to have a voice wherever it is needed. And right now, that need is at the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. I ask that you stand with me to move the county forward.

Together, we fought for what we deserved at City Hall. Now, we can serve even more San Diegans. It’s time to move forward and build trust in San Diego County. That’s why I am running for Board of Supervisors. Join the fight today: efundraisingconnections.com/c/MonicaMontgo…
