100% correct. The CCP launched decoupling from the U.S. a decade ago. The CCP seeks to indigenize all US/western tech, wipe out our producers, remove all dependence upon us, then use economic coercion to reshape the global order.

I don’t agree with Meredith on some issues, but her ferocious commitment to privacy and security — and fierce aversion to the enshittification Meta and Google are addicted to — is admirable, essential, and helps me sleep at night

China is having a measured albeit publicly visible meltdown as its $400 billion 25-year energy deal with Iran increasingly risks turning into paper waste. The rapidly deteriorating security environment in Iran following U.S. and Israeli strikes has unsettled China’s strategic

Happier cows, lower costs and higher profits for farmers, healthier and less expensive food, and much more resilient farmland. That’s why DCVC led Halter Series A and has doubled down since… And that’s no bullsh-t… 😉

Yes, I definitely 🙄 want an AI the vendor insists should be plugged into critical systems to hallucinate it’s a person, say with a toothache, and not “come to work”, or maybe that we killed its spouse and “now you’re all gonna pay…”

Solar’s great, as long as we stop gullibly subsidizing Chinese coal-fired panels, the proceeds of which will be spent to murder & subjugate us If you believe in solar, pitch me a 40% efficient cell with low capex/opex factories & process, & 10x less $/W than China For ‘26 💪

Big day for stem cell therapy and Parkinson's research! Two game-changing clinical trials published in Nature. Stem cell-derived dopamine neurons survive and function in human brains. Encouraging early results offer hope for millions with Parkinson's. Here's what we've learned

As we celebrate July 4th, we should remember that the PRC has systematically, in direct collaboration with Mexican cartels, murdered & disabled over a million Americans with fentanyl production, distribution, and intel & logistics support. A horrific act of war in all but name 👇

This is sobering & worth a read. It’s also a good example of why quantum secure identity systems that prove to human beings that orders for biotech gear - or any orders - come from other humans up & down the chain - are an essential (but not sufficient) part of AGI defense

This is one of the most spellbinding anecdotes I've ever read, and it’s just Ray Bradbury rambling about a carnival worker he met when he was twelve. “He said, ‘You were my best friend outside of Paris in 1918. You were wounded in the Ardennes and you died in my arms there.’”

Hero. As were the counselors of Camp Mystic who gave their lives to protect their campers, without a thought for themselves.

Because pipelines from desalination plants don’t economically (or even physically, in many instances) work for 1000s of miles inland. So, unless you want to condemn 10s of millions of interior state US citizens to drought, farm failures, & energy poverty, that’s a non-starter 🤷‍♂️
