What produced those ultrasonic calls? The Katydid, did! Katydids can create calls by scraping a modified vein, which is like a file, under their right wing (tegmen) against the edge of the left wing, creating a distinctive ultrasonic sound. #PhantomOrthoptera Wildlife Acoustics
