Access to swimming is a huge gap between the richest and the poorest. With 30% from the poorest communities having access compared to 80%. Everyone, including nature, should have clean, healthy rivers. My report at the London Assembly: theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/s…

To split a party before it is formed is a first even for the British Left. To cheer people both sides should organise a compulsory viewing of Life Of Brian by the Monty Python team.

The Green Party has gained as many members since Zack Polanski has been leader as the total number of members there were when I joined in 2008. Makes me old, and Zack effective I guess.

Every time you board a bus, or catch a train, you are caught in a web of private ownership. “Public” transport is not public. Why is transport costing more while our services keep getting worse? 🧵 Let’s look at the facts.

“It’s outrageous, it’s insulting, it’s divisive to pit one cause against the other.” The government is asking people to choose between having “compassion and understanding to support British Jewish people and Palestinian people”, says journalist @RachShabi. @Mulkerrins

For the first time, I'm writing about being forced to leave the US for my Palestine writing and activism. ICE, Palantir, and Google were involved. My university Cornell University remains silent. It's been a disorienting ordeal, but I stand by what I did. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

The views of Jews who oppose the genocide have been actively erased by politicians of all stripes. And now Jewish feelings are being used to justify an outrageous attack on our democracy. Well said Zack Polanski

There's always light after darkness! One of the more positive things to come from the arson attack at the Peachaven Mosque was the way the community came together to stand in solidarity. Whilst I was there, I met a Rabbi from the local synagogue, another amazing Jewish man

Starmer waged a war on the left inside Labour, armed a genocide in Gaza and abandoned many of the policies he stood on. Their wager is that Labour voters have nowhere else to go. Seems that Zack Polanski leadership of the greens has changed that entirely..

I would say it is likely that the big jump in this number is down to Zack Polanski banging on about a wealth tax relentlessly - and it's really good news. As parties rise in the polls the issues they talk about tend to rise too.

One of the ways Reform don’t win the next general election is very large scale tactical voting among progressive voters. Given the scale of Reform underperformance vs the polls in Cartphilly, seems like that’s what’s happened.
