CHS Teacher Lindsay Pardue was visited by 16 WAPT News reporter Brooklyn Joyner who presented her with the Alyce Clark Excellence in Education Award for January 2025. The award is a monthly award named after Alyce Clark, the first Black woman elected to the MS Legislature.

Dr. Jana Chao was recently awarded the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). This achievement reflects on the significant contributions made to the teaching profession in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

CPSD’s Board of Trustees recently enacted a measure to increase the supplement given to educators who are National Board Certified by 50%. The new supplement of $9,000 will go into effect during the 2025-2026 school year. tinyurl.com/2vtap6f7
