"Everything starts with physics" is how Anjana Ahuja Financial Times introduced our #LabourConference24 event yesterday. Here's why: 📈Physics-powered businesses account for 11% UK GDP and 10% UK employment 👩🏾💼Physics gives young people the tools to change their world 🛰️Physics unlocks our

Fantastic to see this published today by the completely amazing Holly Schofield and Ryan Hill ... paper describes our experiments with the Vishal Shah integrated miniaturised (Neuro1) electronics for OPM-MEG! Cerca Magnetics Limited SPMIC

Harry Cook dangerously straying off topic to talk about combining his optically-pumped gradiometer with non-invasive brain stimulation. (just kidding, we love TMS - it's magnetic after all!)

Impression of this morning's first session. Many thanks to this session's presenters Oiwi Parker Jones, Krish D. Singh, Lukas Rier and Dan Bush. We've had machine learning, big data, connectome scanners, fear conditioning, and of course, lots and lots and lots of oscillations 🙂

Thank you @MEG_UKI_2024, Andrew Quinn, The Centre for Human Brain Health, and everyone who joined us – fantastic time! A special shoutout to my co-chair Harry Cook it was fun organizing the panel!

We're delighted to announce the launch of our UK Quantum Technology Hub Sensors and Timing 10th anniversary report, marking a decade of #quantumsensing and #quantumtiming research! Thank you & congrats to our researchers, project staff, advisors, industry partners and funders Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council quantumsensors.org/wp-content/upl…

Excited to announce the 500th paper published by Imaging Neuroscience ! Imaging Neuroscience The MIT Press @mitpress.bsky.social We've come a long way in a short time and are hugely grateful to the neuroimaging community for your support. Hope to see lots of you at OHBM OHBM

Super excited to see this published by the fabulous Natalie Rhodes. Awesome collaboration with The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and Krish D. Singh allowed us to measure and model gamma oscillations in 100 people. direct.mit.edu/imag/article/d…

Our brain imaging research reveals how brain function changes with age. Researchers in UoN Physics & Astronomy and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) trialed a wearable MEG scanner with 101 healthy kids and adults to gain insights.
