An ever-present in the side during my time watching City and one of the club’s greatest-ever servants. Gutting to see him go but hopefully this isn’t the end of his association with the club 💙

Port Vale away on a Thursday night. Does anybody actually want that? Probably neither team, definitely neither set of fans and I can’t imagine the TV audience is particularly enthused. A shame as I think that away end would be packed otherwise.

Seven academy graduates in the starting XI. Fantastic to see the new manager place so much faith in the exciting local talent we have at our disposal.

City 2-1 Peterborough United. Great character from a squad with an average of 22 to come from behind and make a winning start to this new era at CCS. Two goals straight off the academy production line, too!

Cardiff City kicked off their first season in the third tier of English football in 23 years with a team that had an average age of 22 years old. It included six Welshmen and five academy graduates, including goalscorers Rubin Colwill and Ronan Kpakio. Trusting their own.

Port Vale 0-0 City. Think there will be quite a few of these games for us this season. Vale clearly did their homework and nullified Cardiff all across the pitch, who were pretty lacklustre in their own right. Neither team good enough to score.

City 2-1 Swindon Town. Looked like it was game over by half-time but both teams conspired in equal measure to take it beyond the 90 minutes in the second half. Still clear which parts of the pitch need re-enforcing but into the hat for round two, which is the main thing.

Ronan Kpakio (18/🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿) — Cardiff City (RB) Coming through Welsh youth teams and making a few brief appearances for Cardiff City last season, this year Ronan Kpakio has firmly established himself as a starter. He has been a key part of why the Bluebirds have conceded just one goal

👒 0-1 🐦. City are looking pretty formidable at the moment. If they can finally master the art of walking the ball into the net and combine it with their well-drilled build-up play, they’ll be grand. Top of the league and very much the team to beat so far this season.

City 3-0 Cheltenham Town. Another impressive Bluebirds performance from a young, rotated team, albeit against the side bottom of the EFL. 9 of the 11 City players who finished the game were academy graduates, playing with the same style and confidence that we’ve seen all season.

This weekend marks one year since we sadly lost City legend, Sol Bamba. During the 14th minute of tomorrow's game, we are encouraging all supporters within CCS to join in a minute of applause as we remember a real City great. #CityAsOne

🐦 4-0 🟢. Cardiff have faced both of their main promotion rivals in consecutive league games and have dispatched both with relative ease. Plymouth had no response to City’s attack - they’ve now racked up an aggregate score of 9-0 in their last two visits to CCS.

🗓 OTD in 2021, Rubin Colwill comes off the bench to score both goals in a 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

🐦 4-3 🅾️. Chaos at CCS in a game that went from 1-1 at half time to 4-3 on 70 minutes. City didn’t make it easy for themselves (as per) but deserving victors and showed good mentality to come away with the win.
