BlackRock, 'investment' giant has bought over ยฃ1.4bn worth of UK homes, hiking up rent and inflating the market Pricing all young people out and causing a housing crisis Please, stop blaming immigrants and look up at who is really causing our problems We need real change

No Julia, it really doesn't. People are not going to vote Labour again just because they are "not quite as bad" as the Tories. That ship has sailed. Labour is hated now for its hypocrisy and lies.

Shame on the Commissioner. Shame on the Home Secretary. Shame on the Foreign Secretary. Shame on the Prime Minister. You're all defending war crimes. Thousands are dying and this is your response. This is how you'll be remembered & we'll never forget.

I generally agree with Aaron Bastani here - i believe it stems from a deep individualism, a society designed to eradicate community and make us all competitive In such a society some care for only themselves. As that is what we were taught to do to get ahead.

Over 230 journalists in Gaza have been killed by the IDF since October 2023. More journalists have been killed in Gaza than in both world wars, the Vietnam War, the wars in Yugoslavia and the United States war in Afghanistan combined.

Understand that Israel assassinated ุฃู†ุณ ุงู„ุดุฑูŠู Anas Al-Sharif after approving the plan to invade Gaza City. They knew he would not leave the city and would cover the assault and killed him ahead of it. Letโ€™s just be very clear here.

Ben Kentish (@benkentish) 's Twitter Profile Photo

If Anas Al-Sharif was a โ€œterroristโ€ as alleged, the Israeli government should publish the evidence immediately. If it doesnโ€™t, itโ€™s just another lie.

John Simpson (@johnsimpsonnews) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Anas al-Sharif, the Al Jazeera journalist accused by the IDF of working for Hamas, was previously part of a Reuters group which won a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage. I havenโ€™t seen any accusations against the other reporters and cameramen who were killed with him.

Over half the people in UC are in work. We should stop letting massively wealthy corporations use UC to top up low wages to booster profits and shareholder dividends.

Compete capitulation by the UN today. The backstory: 1. Israel accused Hamas of using SA as a weapon of war, demanding they be blacklisted, an official designation with diplomatic consequences. 2. The UN asked to investigate. Hamas agreed, Israel refused. 3. Israel instead

PIP MISINFORMATION - Steve, no Dr is willing to risk their career falsifying a letter to be complicit in benefit fraud. Also, a letter from a GP isnโ€™t enough to get benefits. You need medical evidence, test results, scans, diagnostic criteria & reports met. Mountains of it.

There were over 2 times more Universal Credit jobseekers than jobs in July 2025 (1,596,072 vs 718,000) Therefore employers theoretically have more candidate choice Forcing 2.7m chronically ill people into this mix will only set them up for employment failure & increased poverty

Implying Jews are responsible for the actions of the Israeli government is antisemitic, according to the IHRA definition you were once very keen on. And you appear to be saying that killing children and civilians is a feature of being Jewish. I hope you apologise and retract this

Itโ€™s not enough to get free weapons and political cover to carry out a genocide. Israel and its backers in the U.S. must also destroy any institution, no matter how long it has operated โ€” like 60 Minutes here โ€” that dares to moderately criticize the project once

Obvs higher prices bad on own terms (people really hate inflation!). But bigger challenge of this and the asylum hotel policy turmoil dominating news is it feeds sense government isnโ€™t in control of events. That lack of control is one of key drivers of โ€œbroken Britainโ€ sentiment

Blimey! Corbyn says Labour expelled him with a note saying that if he was upset, he could ring the Samaritans, and they gave him the Samaritans' number.

Michael Crick (@michaellcrick) 's Twitter Profile Photo

A chap who's just contacted me says: "Itโ€™s part of the standard wording. Thereโ€™s a full paragraph of places people can go to for support." I'd have thought a former leader deserves more than a standard letter. x.com/michaellcrick/โ€ฆ x.com/MichaelLCrick/โ€ฆ
