Interesting study on the relationship between cognitive load and motivation: - Cognitive load is not a neutral factor, context matters. - "easy" tasks are not always low-effort if students lack interest in the topic. - Specifically, low motivation (in the form of disinterest)

Build a strong sense of estimation alongside skills and you have a mathematician.
