Elsewhere, sleeping on campus is a privilege not a right and that’s why on-campus hostels are usually expensive than off campus. But the level of distraction students in African universities inflict on residence facilities is unmatched. Hopefully the new Mary Stuart is spared.

On 2nd September, 2025, the United States Department of State will remove student and exchange visitor visas F1 and J1 from the interview waiver program, worldwide. This program allowed holders of these visas to renew them without the lengthy appointment and interview process.

Uganda’s Ministry of Internal Affairs needs to overhaul the entire Uganda visa system and policies. From student to other visa types like work permits etc. There are so many problems and you can only know this if you were a foreigner. We are open to support these efforts!
