As a part of this coalition, we were hopeful the House would vote today on #hb5803. Unfortunately, despite assurances, the bill was not brought up. Fight continues.

Senate passed #sb911, a stripped down version of #hb5803. It won’t adjust the rate districts pay for MPSERS but does remove the 3% for employees. We will continue to fight to get the MPSERS rate reduced & put more $ in the classrooms. #mileg.

In the very early hours this morning, the Legislature passed #hb5507, the School Aid budget for 24/25 but w/o passing #sb911, a companion bill needed to free up the $670M to balance the books & make MPSERS rate reductions permanent. #miched
