What a fantastic partnership Neil and Tracy are and what an incredible job they did strengthening Cranleigh Prep and always ensuring it was a community. Servant-hearted to the core.

A spring birdsong crescendo walk up to Abbotsbury Hill Fort: blackbird, green woodpecker, great & blue tit, dunnock, linnet, skylark, yellowhammer & best of all, dartford warbler atop the gorse by the beacon. Steve Groves Dorset Bird Club

Amanda and I loving watching Cranleigh sch rugby live stream at the Howden Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens & especially a fabulous hat trick from Alex W against Berko: ‘the big boomer on the ding a ling’ to quote the commentator! All the best for the rest of the competition gents.

Lovely to wake to the call of a cuckoo this morning and it’s been going on and off for the last couple of hours. @swannerySteve it’s the first I have heard in Abbotsbury in the last eight years but I have not been here in late April and May until now. Are they an annual visitor?

Not the best photo & you may need to zoom: approx 50-60 cattle egret adjacent to the Abbotsbury Portesham Railway path. I was thrilled to see half a dozen last year. ⁦Steve Groves⁩ ⁦Dorset Bird Club⁩ ⁦Dorset Wildlife Trust
