Conclusion: IR in East Africa is here to stay. The program in Dar is leading the way, graduating its 14-16th fellows this year. Kampala is right behind and will graduate the first class of 3 in 2025. Our graduates spreading across ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฟ (and soon ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ) need continued supportโ€ฆ 16/18

โ€ฆ to spread IR to every major town in East Africa and beyond. The minimum goal is one IR per million population #SAFIRE, so we still have a long way to go. The need and feasibility are indisputable. We know we can do it because we have been doing it! #cantstopwontstop 17/18

What can CT and angiographic clot burden tell us about our PE thrombectomy patients? Read our Yale IR latest publication in collaboration with our incredible Yale Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging diagnostic colleagues. A big team effort. Is there a synergy between beta-blockers & transarterial chemoembolization in the treatment of #hepatocellularcarcinoma? A study hot-off-the-press by Martin Mutonga & colleagues in #irad at Yale School of Medicine failed to prove the hypothesized synergy. However, there is increasing evidence
