A635 Doncaster Road closed at Measbrough Dike, surrounding roads very busy including Stairfoot and Cundy Cross. All Barnsley bus services that use this route will be diverting Grange Lane - Pontefract Road in both directions.

No water in Worsbrough Common where I live. Been in touch with Yorkshire Water who said that it is due to a power outage at a treatment plant at Langsett. They are working with Northern Power to fix the issue.

Barnsley. What a town. I visited for the first yesterday to film a report for tonight’s News at Ten. The centre is full of life, the people we met were warm and welcoming and those moors! In the gaps between the buildings you catch glimpses of stunning countryside. #blownaway

A brewery which sold a two-centuries-old pub with links back to Barnsley Football Club’s early days has been accused of ‘failing the community’ - and breaking a key part of the town’s history. Tomorrow's paper is available online, too. barnsleychronicle.com/epaper

Barnsley Labour brought a balanced budget to the Town Hall today: it passed. The Liberal Democrats and Independents voted against it. Reform UK didn't even show up.
