We are deeply saddened by the tragic events in Novi Sad. Our heartfelt condolences to the families who lost loved ones, and we wish a swift recovery to those injured.

Serbian forces played an important role on the allied side during World War I. Serbian losses were immense. Today I attended the commemoration in their honour at the Belgrade New Cemetery, paying my respects to the military and civilians who lost their lives.

At the conference "Do you remember local media". Chilling stories by journalists about threats or attacks. But also optimism: local media are an essential part of local democracy, in NL as in Serbia. Cooperation makes them stronger.

Mountain biking in Fruška Gora today. It looks easy on the picture, but with the muddy and slippery road going up quite steeply, it was quite a challenge. What a beautiful forest and lovely fresh air. Great place for cycling.

The senseless destruction caused by the Russian full scale invasion of Ukraine is difficult to grasp. Today marks three years of the Russian war of aggression, and of incredible courage and sacrifices of the people of Ukraine defending their homeland. Let us #StandWithUkraine.
