Pub manager of indie craft beer: constant unpaid overtime, paperwork, rota, orders, social media, events, on top of 45/48 solid hours behind the bar. Pub manager of big chain: works 40 hours of which 25 on the floor and the rest admin hours. I’m done.

Everytime you complain about staff of your local indie, think about the sheer pressure and burn out we go through for our passion, just to find ourselves 10 years down the road having NOTHING but a bad back, a big overdraft and shit mental health. Oh, and no paid sick days.

Some personal news: After exactly 10 years, I’m leaving UK. It’s a bittersweet decision, but you’ve got to chase happiness..or at least give it your best go. So, SPAIN, here I come!! Ir you’re around, come have a pint with me, Monday 14th, from 6pm, The Queens Head ~ open 7 days a week!

In the process of packing up all my belongings, and throwing away pretty much all my breweries t-shirts, as most of them don’t fit me anymore cause, well, ya know… Beer.
