This would seem to line up with the seoClarity data I shared earlier today, confirming that Google is steppping up the use of “traditional” signals of quality & authority in choosing sources for AI overviews.

We're seeing what appears to be a test of showing an AI Overview above ads. Pretty sure it's a test as we can't reproduce on all accounts and even on the one where we see it, the result comes and goes. Barry Schwartz #IsItNew?
