The adult Night Heron showing very well at Slapton Bridge 710pm-740pm at least-in exactly the same place as the previous ones in 21 and 22- could it be the same one back for a 5th spring ? Also the adult Purple Heron seen in flight over the Higher Ley at 1840pm and 1934pm

Adult Night Heron at Slapton this evening - found yesterday by Martin K- coincidently on exactly the same date and on exactly the same branch as the first summer bird 4 years ago 9/4/21 (and then a second summer bird from 29/4/22)

A very enjoyable morning at Dawlish Warren-the highlight 2 Arctic Terns in the estuary 1030-1045 found by Lee C,also 30 Bar T Gods, 15 Black T Gods, 7 Whimbrel, 7 Ringed Plover, 4 Sanderling, 8 Dunlin, 6 Grey Plover, c15 Sand Terns, imm m Eider, Whitethroat , 2 Wheatear (m and f)

A Red Kite seen from 422pm-430pm over Torquay airspace and becomes the 20th Red Kite seen from the house in the last 6 years - an Excellant pick up and prompt call by Rob Murphy - the Kite circled for over 5 mins before heading off north - also 2 Swifts

A real Devon rarity nowadays - a Turtle Dove in a private field off Bridge Road,Churston near Brixham - found earlier by Josh M and still present 235pm when flew up out of field and landed in a bush out of sight- viewed from gateway from road

The male Woodchat Shrike found this morning by Stephen E still c1130am at Greenland Lake, Dawlish Warren and showing well at times - the first twitchable Devon Woodchat for 5 years- also my 5th at Dawlish Warren and ridiculously my 27th in Devon over the years!
