We are on our way back from a very interesting trip to Big Pit Coal Museum! We went inside a drift mine, learnt about children who worked down the mine and explored the lamp room. There was so much to learn and so much to see!

Last week we made links with real life experiences using musical instruments to make firework sounds 🎆🧨🎇 We were also able to follow simple instructions and turn take with the instruments 🥁 🎹🪇🪈

Today we completed JigSaw 🧩 activities for anti-bullying week. We always try our very best to ensure our classroom is a welcoming and accepting place and we celebrate our strengths and differences ❤️ #antibullyingweek #jigsaw #nurturedandinspired

A special service for our Y5&6 pupils at the Cenotaph today; beautiful readings, poems and songs as we remember those who fought for our today. A big thank you to Luci at the Community Centre for providing refreshments and the time for us to reflect and chat with our community❤️

Today, our school came together for a heartfelt Remembrance Assembly. We paused to honour the courage, sacrifice, & selflessness of those who served & to remind ourselves of the importance of peace. 🕊️ “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old...” #LestWeForget

Wearing odd socks to raise awareness of anti-bullying week 🧦

This week we made toffee and chocolate covered apples ready for our school ‘Children In Need’ bake sale. We linked our baking to our learning theme ‘Rebels, Religion and Royalty’; as what’s more traditional than eating toffee apples to commemorate the gunpowder plot?!

Children in Need 2025 marks an incredible 40 years of raising money to help those who need it most! To celebrate, our whole school dressed up in four different decades. Dosbarth Willow were transported back to the 90s — and they didn’t disappoint BBC Children in Need

What a day! 🎉 Our whole school baked, danced and beamed with pride raising money for Children in Need. Each class contributed to a bake sale linked to their learning theme this morning, and this afternoon we danced our way through the decades! 🕺🍰 💛 BBC Children in Need #ChildrenInNeed
