Marathon no. 9🤞Never sure how these are going to go & training’s not gone to plan (again) so it’ll be a case of get out there, do my best & see how it goes. Good luck to anyone running London, Manchester or Blackpool marathons tomorrow. Stockport Harriers LocalRunnersPodcast Running Commentary

A fantastic few days spent in lovely Stavanger at the European Brass Band Championship. 12th for Foden's Band is certainly a disappointing result, but we can be proud of our performances. Congratulations to all the prizewinners, especially the new European Champions Brassband Willebroek

Great to be back performing at home in Burton with Foden's Band in the town hall this afternoon. A big thanks to everyone who attended the concert and gave us such a warm reception. Fantastic to catch up with folk.

An enjoyable Foden's Band concert at the Elgar International Festival of Brass in Malvern today. A great programme on the ‘serious side,’ including an 80th birthday tribute to Edward Gregson, Dobson’s ‘Jesus in Tibet’ & the superb Crausaz Concerto Grosso for euphonium & marimba.

Whit Friday 2025 is a-go-go and all of Foden's Band are clearly primed and raring to go! 🤔 It’s actually my favourite night of the year. 1 contest down, 10 (?) to go. Tameside Whit Friday Brass Band Contest #whitfriday

Annual Foden's Band section Whit Friday photo. 8 contests done now and cracking weather. Tameside Whit Friday Brass Band Contest Whit Friday #whitfriday

Final rehearsal of the year for Foden's Youth Band before two big concerts at Victoria Hall, Hanley on Friday and Congleton Town Hall a week on Saturday. Always a pleasure to work with these extremely talented and committed young musicians. Foden's Band #fodensyouthband #fodensband

Harry’s passed his grade 4 baritone with distinction….just - 130/150 (they all count!). He’s been playing less than 2 years so he’s doing pretty well. Thanks for the expert tuition, guidance and opportunities you offer Harry Tameside Music Service.

It’s been a while coming but finally completed my first international parkrun at Clermont parkrun in Florida 🇺🇸today. A friendly event with a flat out & back course alongside Lake Minneola. It’s a 7.30am start due to the heat, but even then it’s toasty! LocalRunnersPodcast #parkrun

Just the most amazing two weeks at Disney (with a few excursions to Universal too) in Florida. Holiday of a lifetime. So many experiences & memories. Now off to join the Foden's Band tutors on the Armagh Old Boys Brass Band Summer School in Northern Ireland.

Great to run my 300th parkrun at ‘home from home’ Armagh parkrun. Not an official parkrun milestone but it’s still a lot of Saturday mornings & kilometres. Lovely to catch up with folks at one of the friendliest (& hilliest!) events I know. LocalRunnersPodcast #parkrun #loveparkrun

Another fantastic Armagh Old Boys Brass Band Summer School is over. Always a special event, with a great rapport amongst course participants & Foden's Band tutors, this year perhaps even more so with it being the first since 2022. It’s brilliant to have it back. Here’s to 2026!

Join us on 4th Sept for an open rehearsal ahead of the 2025 British Open Brass Band Championships in Birmingham's Symphony Hall! Entry is FREE and will take place in Sandbach School's Theatre starting at 7:30pm So Cheshire Sandbach Chronicle Sandbach News
