The Wash is the most important estuary in the UK for Grey Plover, with Wetland Bird Survey counts of 8000+ in autumn. A barrage/port development would be a disaster. Wash Wader RG studies of #waders #shorebirds that rely on this Convention on Wetlands site: wadertales.wordpress.com/2019/08/15/six… #ornithology

More wetland being created. It has been one of the busiest years for this machine we have had. Busy is good for business but also good for wetlands as it means a lot more important wildlife habitat created. #quickcosteffectivewetlands RSPB England

A great blog on why Wash Wader RG color flag and mark waders on the the Internationally important Wash estuary and why it adds so much to our knowledge, helps protect this important estuary as well as the surrounding land that the birds are so reliant on

📢Job alert! 📢 We have a fantastic opportunity for a Conservation Scientist with a background in ecology, applied statistics & remote sensing to model conservation strategies for lowland waders RSPB Science #ornithology Deadline 24th July. Pls RT! Info👉bit.ly/3NAPVrc
