1/2 MMA, B12 DEFICIENCY AND CKD I was on consult service last week and saw a patient with pancytopenia and the labs shown in the graphic. Based on the elevated MMA, I worried about B12 deficiency, but one of my trainees pointed out that MMA is increased in patients with CKD.
