After the excitement and disappointments of my last election campaign, great to get back supporting great local causes notably the Borth Carnival. Crowned our Carnival Queen Grace Thomas and judged the dog show despite the rain!

Lovely to catch up with my House of Lords pals Lord Roger Roberts, Baroness Chris Humphreys and Jane Ashley in Westminster yesterday.

Our first visit to Hadrian’s Wall this weekend and a lovely walk along part of it.

As much as I enjoyed last week’s travel in and around London, Hexham, and Kendal and Windermere, home is home, and on a glorious morning like today I just love it.

Addressed 500 strong gathering of the International Liberty Association in London this weekend on the cause of freedom for the Iranian people. This campaign will only cease when democracy, freedom and human rights are secured by the Iranian people and a secular republic created.

As new students are welcomed to Aberystwyth University this weekend, a special anniversary for me. Forty years since I first arrived here, and so far forty years membership of Ceredigion and Pembroke North Liberal Party, and then Ceredigion Liberal Democrat’s Best decisions ever!
