Liz Truss says she hates handouts. So why is she collecting her Β£125,000 a year ex-PM pension, for the shortest, worst ever premiership? She even said she wouldn't collect it. But of course she does.

I've been having a big old dig through NHS sickness absence data. It's just bonkers. Summary: πŸ”₯the pandemic isn't overπŸ”₯ The sickness rates for some groups now is nearly twice what it was five years ago. Here's F2s (year 2 foundation doctors):

In just 3.5 months, this final year medical student will be a doctor. Yet she can't plan, finance or find accommodation because the NHS won't tell her which hospital, or even region, she'll work in. She's being treated contemptibly. Please say you'll stop this, Wes Streeting.

NHS England is rolling back its mental health support for NHS hospital staff. No new patients will be accepted....given the parlous state of services and how some staff can be broken by their work this seems a backwards step.

One doctor takes their life every three weeks, Victoria Atkins. How can you possibly countenance slashing psychological support services for a deeply traumatised post-Covid NHS workforce? It’s pure vindictiveness.

Having failed on its promise to deliver 6000 more GPs by 2024, the government is quietly replacing GPs with non-medics. Over half of all surgery appointments are now with non-GP staff such as PAs. It’s an astonishing, wholesale change to NHS care - without patient consent.

One thing I wished more people understood about climate change is that we have not yet experienced any where near the full consequences of the warming we've already caused. Here's a 🧡 explaining why...

I tried to buy a healthy snack after work. A piece of fruit or small box of raisins p’haps? I walked out through the crowded ED waiting room where seats are no longer big enough for average patients, & headed for the hospital shop & #Costa. #obesity #Ozempic Newcastle Hospitals 1/

Just look at this graph. By a staggering margin, we have the worst figures for homelessness in the developed world. What an appalling indictment of the last 14 years of government this is.
