53 years ago, Stonewall changed everything. We've made incredible progress in the fight for equality, but these rights are on the line. We'll never give up the fight to safeguard marriage equality, protect LGBTQI+ rights, and stand up to hateful attacks.

The fight before us is daunting, yet we have seen fights like these. Those who fought when every system, law, and legality held them in contempt. Those who spoke while being hit with bottles and batons. We must fight to gain back the ground we have lost, then ask for even more.

Mentioned before: Wife/I were considering adoption and went to an agency. The prices for the adoption process were more expensive for "caucasians" We asked about it. We were told -casually- certain types of babies are much more "in demand". That's not pro-life.

I confess I do not know or understand the hope of those that came before. What caused them to sing into a dark, brutal world. But sing they did. Until everyone heard. And in that, unmistakeably, was power.

If you have trouble celebrating July 4th, I can sympathize. For years, we did so within internment camp barbed wire fencing, guns pointed in at us. We honored the promise of America even as it was broken to us every day. But still, we kept faith. And a brighter day finally came.

The new jobs report is great. However, my reservation (Pine Ridge) still suffers from chronic unemployment, and 97% of the residents live in abject poverty. It’s time for tribal economic recovery. Give back to Indigenous communities. From which the U.S. has — taken so much from.

The Lesbian Dance Theory thing is stupid. But let's talk about the system. I moronicially didn't finish college. 15 years later, several employers refused to even interview me w/out a degree even with 15 years experience. They didn't care which degree. Anything would have worked.

This is 2022 yet this - THIS - is still a daily reality. We need to refuse to settle for this remaining true. Where we are right now is not good enough.
