Exactly two years ago, I launched Halcyon Futures. So far we’ve seeded and launched 16 new orgs and companies, and helped them raise nearly a quarter billion dollars in funding. Flash back to 2022: After eight years in VC, I stepped back to explore questions about exponential

The Elizabeth Line in London moves 800,000 people daily. No highway at its busiest point moves that many people daily in North America.

This is great to see from Department for Science, Innovation and Technology: in the AI Action Plan, I talked about the importance of making the UK the best place in the world to safely deploy new AI capabilities - sandboxes like this as a great way to make this happen👇

Stuff like this kills faith in institutions. Whatever the technicalities, fining someone for coffee down a drain is just ridiculous. Drains take all the detritus from roads, rubbish, dog pee etc. The Council should just drop it rather than digging deeper. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

the most contrarian thing one can be now is an optimistic Brit. St.Crispin’s day has just passed and I’m working with Henry V levels of optimism and delusion. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇬🇧
