Lots of great math discussions during our IPS today! #MATHinLISD #igtbavoyager Vickery Elementary

Kinder Bridlewood ES are recording their voices to show what they know about the physical properties of a button. π#DigitalLISD

Mrs. Stephens Bluebonnet ES makes content comprehensible with an Interactive Word Wall of realia, discussions using academic vocabulary and sentence stems! #everyONE ππ LISD Science

3rd grade Southridge ES had to solve the problem of building a tower that can hold π―ππ¨ from a flood. The Sβs saw how difficult it is to solve a problem without the engineering design process (EDP)!! Now that they have learned it, I canβt wait to see what they built tomorrow!

I always love supporting Highland Village Elementary & Shelly Duermeyer in creating paper plate circuits! Students were able to use this performance task to describe the different kinds of energy and how energy was being transformed through the circuit ππ‘ππLISD Science

2nd graders Highland Village Elementary representing and solving addition and subtraction problems! ββ π Concrete manipulatives were easily accessible to students

1st graders Donald Elementary are understanding parts of a system with 3 dimensional learning! RTC- Parts of a wholeππ Content- Demonstrating that an object (Mrs./Mr. Potato Head) is a system made up of organized parts ππ SEPS- Develop explanations supported by data π

1st graders Vickery Elementary sharing how they solved their IPS problem and then discussing if it was alike/different from their partners. Thank you J'Layne White for the great visual to support our students! #igtbavoyager #mathinlisd

3rd & 5th graders Vickery Elementary working on force & motion units! 3rd is starting an open inquiry where Sβs came up with what they would like to test & 5th is learning all about independent, dependent and controlled variables in various investigations. #igtbavoyager LISD Science

All the science happening Southridge ES last week! 1st learning about windy/calm wind π¬οΈπ«§2nd learning how to read a thermometerπ‘οΈ 3rd grade about the forms of energy through a Kagan structureπ‘π₯΅ππββοΈ & 4th the force of magnetism π§²

A student in 3rd grade Vickery Elementary had a great wondering today. Why does some light energy produce heat but others do not? Example: a light bulb in a floor lamp can get hot but the light on your phone does not π€ #igtbavoyager

Kinder Bridlewood ES used the Draw and Tell app to illustrate and record a science lesson on Patterns of Objects in the Sky. πβοΈβοΈ

First graders Southridge ES are leveling up their money skills! π° Using a Keynote template, they practiced sorting & identifying coinsβthen showcased their learning by submitting their work in Canvas. #digitalLISD #lisdLandT
