A week earlier than I thought, I'm off on my first cricket jaunt of the season. Taking that honour is The Railway Field and Ashley Cricket Club vs Stockport CC in the Cheshire CCL Division 2.

Forgot to post yesterday, but had an enjoyable day at Ashley Cricket Club vs Stockport CC, as the visitors ran out 7 wicket winners in the Cheshire CCL Division 2. Lovely ground and friendly too.

Headed off to Heatons Sports Club yesterday, as Heaton Mersey CC (139ao) lost out by 30 runs in a tightly fought contest to Hale Barns Cricket Club (169ao). A decent trip out and a nice venue - it was good to beat the weather too!

A good day out today along with Sam Hodkin (He/Him/Human), watching Prestwich CTBC 201-8 (50 overs) overcome Bradshaw CC 158ao (48.1 overs) by 43 runs. A good game and a good club. Well worth a visit.

Very pleased to see (P) Oldham Athletic return to the league. Hopefully things are a lot smoother now and they can well and truly cement themselves back there.

Hi guys - quick blog update for anyone who still remotely cares! 😂 I do have three football blogs largely finished - my problem is I've got into a bit of a routine where I nearly finish one up bug never quite get there, hopefully the cricket ones cure me of that!! 😅

So even refs don't know the rules, eh? The game needs a full overhaul of officiating - make it far more simple, you know, sort of how it used to be!

Just remembered I never posted my game from last week which ended up being this rain-affected contest between Woodbank CC and Monton Cricket Club, which saw the hosts come out on top. Didn't quite see the end of the game, but got 51 overs in, so that was a win on days like that!

Good day out yesterday at Leigh Cricket Club vs Firwood Bootle C.C. in the L&DCC Prem. A big win for the hosts (Mattie McKiernan's 150* the highlight) against a battling visitors who didn't go down without a fight. Good food (and beers, of course!) on the go too!
