Interesting places I’ve worshiped w/ believers around the world...nightclub in Italy 🇮🇹, basement of a communist owned building in Ukraine 🇺🇦, former military base in Brazil 🇧🇷, orphanages in India 🇮🇳 & our church parking lot Summit Upstate in the middle of July. Making Memories!

Hope you have people in your life that share how the Lord is at work in their life and hope you are that person for others. He’s changing lives...yours and others.

Scripture > cnn-fox-msnbc-social media opinions of your “friends”-social media article that affirms what you already believe about everything-social media article that disagrees w/ what you believe about everything. Be honest enough to evaluate where you spend most of your time.

To all the pastors going about the ministry of shepherding, encouraging, counseling, preparing & teaching those entrusted to you while not taking shots at others or hitting up social media about how difficult it all is....He sees...He hears...He knows...He is near...Keep going.

It’s ok to regularly ask the Holy Spirit to show us where we’re being defensive..needing to win the argument..needing approval of others..thinking we’re better/more right than others. The Spirit will remind us where our SUFFICIENCY & REST are found. Hint: None of those things.

God has been faithful. God is faithful. God will be faithful. That has been enough. That is enough. That will be enough.

Teaching Summit Upstate thru James...this week includes James 1:19-20 “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” Wish I could think of practical application.

Hope-Rest-Joy for your Monday...”The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Thankful I picked up this book a few weeks ago. I can’t recommend it enough. It has refreshed my soul as 2020 comes to a close. Looking to faithfully & biblically navigate the in-between of life is painful yet God is sovereign...brokenness & hope...disappointment & trust? Lament.

If Scripture is true...that God is working all things together for His glory & our ultimate good...then there was a purpose for our 2020 & there is peace and rest for our 2021.

Not a good combo...sitting at a auction watching my phone while Phil is attempting to win the PGA Championship. Hands down. Voice down. Almost bought a cruise.

Today the staff teams of Fellowship Greenville & Summit Upstate are joining together for a day of prayer as both churches launch into studying thru Ephesians this Sunday. Sharing resources, communicators and encouragement. Church Partnership & Interdependence. It’s worth it.

Excited that Fellowship Greenville & Summit Upstate are both starting a study through Ephesians tomorrow morning. Looking forward to being with you Summit Upstate Simpsonville. Church Partnership. Gospel Saturation. Same Team.

Good for the heart…gathering with a room full of folks Fellowship Greenville in their 60’s, 70’s & 80’s and hearing them sing Great is Thy Faithfulness.

The Upstate Church Collective officially launched this month w/ 75 participants & coaches from 5 Upstate churches. We are equipping disciples for leadership in the local church while also raising up church planters & church revitalizers. Thankful for those on the journey with us.

I’m teaching through Judges w/ the Fellowship Greenville team & Ecclesiastes w/ the Summit Upstate team. I’m going to need a heavy dose of sunshine during the month of February.
