Huge congratulations MalmbergLab and co-authors on this groundbreaking paper! A significant advance for the field #NK #CancerResearch #immunotherapy

Taken together, in this study in Cell Stem Cell, we demonstrate that modulating the immune synapse can be a promising strategy to avert rejection by the host and hopefully further unlock π the potential of next-generation allogeneic #Immunotherapy against #cancer

Comprehensive thread highlighting our most recent work now out in Cell Stem Cell describing a novel approach to increase persistence of allogeneic cell therapy products. GPR56 functions as an upstream checkpoint for migration of highly differentiated NK cells The Journal of Immunology MalmbergLab Daniel Palacios (he/him) doi.org/10.4049/jimmunβ¦

Congrats Daniel Palacios (he/him). Understanding the migratory behavior of NK cells is critical to overcome one of the major bottlenecks in the field: to make NK cells home to solid tumors. The inhibitory GPR56 axis is one piece of the puzzle.

Very important and much needed funding to establish ATMP Norway, a multi-nodal national infrastructure for cell and gene therapy. Building on investments in GMP laboratories at Oslounivsykehus and Haukeland University Hospital and a partnership with UiO - Det medisinske fakultet.

Incredibly impressing ongoing work in the UK NK community. Thanks for the invitation Malcolm Sim. Looking forward to discussing more NK and KIR work in the coming days and to the yearly double πΎ with Francesco Colucci
