This song was used to end Mott’s reunion shows back in 2009, and there was barely a dry eye in the house (Hammersmith Odeon) when it was played, it’s still to this very day one of my all time favourite singles from this hugely influential band.

Here in the UK it’s National Album Day which this year is focussing on great British groups. So here’s a few of my favourite albums from British bands that I’ll be giving a spin to today. #NationalAlbumDay

Just arrived, the brand new Queen WillRock I deluxe box set. A stunning looking set. The acid test of listening to it all will be for later on this evening.

A very different beast from the progressiveness of Queen II, and probably my favourite Queen album behind that one. Hard to believe that there was only 9 months between the 2, the band were on a real creative roll back then.

The one and only David Bowie who would have been 78 today. Giving these 2 favourite albums of ours a spin in his memory. #DavidBowie

Proud to have be involved, (in a very small way) with this book. It’s an absorbing trip through the up and downs of the Rock Music business.
