A Red Flag Warning has been issued for most of eastern Nebraska Friday afternoon. Temperatures will rise to the upper 60s with winds gusting up to 30mph. This combined with very dry conditions will allow fires to become uncontrollable very quickly!

🔥⚠️🔥 Due to the dry conditions & the expected high winds this coming week, we will not be issuing any burn permits until conditions improve. Please use extreme caution when doing any burning, including fire pits & burning trash, as these can quickly trigger fast moving fires.

🚩 conditions continue through this evening & into tomorrow.High winds & low relative humidity levels make for fast growing fires. Please refrain from ALL burning activities, including trash burning & fire pits, until we receive significant moisture to lower the risk of grass 🔥
