The way to understand good vs. bad abundance critiques is whether the critic has actually engaged w/ the work or not. Abundance is a blue city/state failure book. Ezra & Derek started writing about everything bagel liberalism & supply in 21-22. Way before Biden was uncool

Abundance skeptics think it’s not a strong enough idea to run a 2028 presidential campaign on. Abundance advocates should make clear that opposing *this* is the 2026 and 2028 campaign. Abundance is a governing agenda for when you’re actually in power.

I'm sick of the "decades of Chinese cheating" excuses to defend Trump's approach. It's not 2014 anymore. Almost everyone agrees we mishandled China & trade. What's damning is that almost no one who takes our failure seriously is defending this past week's process and outcomes

This was the worst case scenario for Trump bungling trade. There are serious reasons why autos are a critical industry beyond just union jobs. I.e. we built tanks and B-24s on auto industry infrastructure. Now the nuance isn’t going to get totally lost in the backlash

My theory is that with the proliferation of Charlie Kirk & Ben Shapiro “debate me” discourse on college campuses + zoomer Twitch culture, debate went from high to low status
