QTS; if I qualified to teach ( B Ed) and have taught for 30 years, ie before QTS accreditation, do I tick yes or no on a application form re QTS? I have a DfE number.

I’ve filled in my first cluster meet anon child form to discuss next week for funding/ support. Has anyone gone through this process? Why do I feel sceptical ?

Is this a familiar scenario?…… due to rising costs of everything, current additional funding doesn’t cover costs. I apply for exceptional, with a very specific priced cost to us, and the LA say no, we need to use the resources we have in school more effectively?

1. I started teaching in 1990. Day 1 of the National Curriculum. 37 children in a Yr 6 class. No TA. No PPA time. It was sheer bliss! I loved every minute. A half term plan was a hand drawn spider diagram, with a bit of the NC referenced. And that was it…..

2. I read to them every day. We had a pet gerbil in class. There was no homework. They played together at playtime. There were no photocopies as we had text books OR I drew what I was talking about on the chalk board. The children weren’t stressed. The teacher wasn’t stressed.

If you know the legal ref re these answers, please tell me(1)P/t contract but non working days counted in absence fig(2)half term counted in absence fig(3)entirety of phased return counted in absence figure(even tho I was clocked in in the building)(4) agreed wfh counted…

….. Contd… counted in absence fig(5) thereby resulting in a dismissal warning(6) got 2 disabilities (7) had two surgeries and worked on crutches…….
