“Africa must become a continent of producers, but even more importantly, of interconnected buyers and sellers,” President Yoweri Museveni observed, stressing the importance of ensuring that what is produced can find a market among fellow Africans.

“Swahili is not just a means of communication—it is a bridge to our cultural and political unity,” President Yoweri Museveni said.

Touching on the ideological foundation for African unity, President Yoweri Museveni invoked the concept of undugu—the Swahili term for brotherhood—as a guiding principle for continental progress.

President Yoweri Museveni proposed that Africa must identify a metaphorical “centre of gravity” that would act as the focal point for collective advancement, anchored in historical awareness, mutual respect, and shared strategic interests.
