Today Maine Turnpike Authority hosted a press conference with speakers from MaineDOT , AAA Northern New England, Maine State Police and Associated General Contractors of Maine to remind drivers that as construction season is gearing up to please be aware of highway work zones.

The speed limits on the Maine Turnpike from NH line to the end of the Maine Turnpike at MM109 have been reduced to 45 MPH due to snow. Please travel with caution and adjust your speed for conditions.No over limits permitted at this time.

Speeds have been restored to normal posted limits the full length of the Maine Turnpike. Over limits are allowed.
